PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating sand washing sludge for treating sand washing sludge produced in sand manufacture and efficiently utilizing the treated sand washing sludge, or as a countermeasure to that the remaining capacity of a disposal place becomes tight because the remaining years of a reclaimed site of industrial waste decreases, or again for positively recycling waste and performing well-balanced application development. SOLUTION: The recycling is performed by using treatment method of agglomerating the sand washing sludge produced from sand washing treatment by adding lees of diatomaceous earth and cement. The diatomaceous earth produced out of Kita-Akita City in Akita Prefecture is preferably used because of good quality and large amount of production. The efficient utilization of the sand washing sludge is achieved by putting the lees of diatomaceous earth to practical use in the processes. Various recycling uses such as manufacture of road bed material, secondary product manufacture of concrete produced by mixing low-cost concrete, and civil construction engineering materials provided in accordance with the mixing proportion of the object are achieved.
