PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body fluid absorbent pad that secures a sufficient volume of absorbed body fluid, and still retains the feel of dry external pad surface. SOLUTION: The body fluid absorbent pad 1 has, at the back of a penetration cloth 2, a plurality of body fluid absorbing and holding layers 4 that secure the sufficient volume of absorbed body fluid. In the body fluid absorbent pad 1, the body fluid absorbing and holding layer 4 includes both upper and lower holding layers 11 and 21. The penetration cloth 2 and the lower absorbing and holding layers 21 are sewn up through the slits 14 and 18 of the upper body fluid absorbing and holding layer 11, and form a concavity 2d of the penetration cloth 2. The penetration cloth 2, the lower absorbing and holding layer 21, and the sewn-up part Sa or the center of the sewn part S are wider in sewing width than the other parts because of bar tack stitches applied there. By this, body fluid, guided by the concavity 2d, quickly passes the wider sewn-up part Sa and flows into the bottom absorbing and holding layer 21 located remoter from the body skin side, and so the pad surface can retain the dry feel.
