PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for ranking retrieval results using reliability of a representative. SOLUTION: The device for ranking the retrieval results using the reliability of the representative includes: a retrieval unit which extracts a retrieval result document to a retrieval query; a representative extraction unit which extracts the representative to the retrieval result document; a reliability calculation unit which calculates the reliability to the representative; and a ranking part which ranks the retrieval result document in consideration of the reliability.
