The frame has vertical guard rail supports (31) fastened to a vertically aligned adjusting frame (1) and/or a horizontal support (2) by using support arms. The rail supports are upwardly protruded over a highest support and interconnected at its upper end by a horizontal guardrail parapet (33). An anti-lifting lock is movably fastened to the rail supports for blocking a retaining fork of each rail support. A downwardly directed locking surface is engaged and connected with a carrier section by pivoting or shifting. An independent claim is also included for a method for heightening a scaffold frame.
