The method involves tightening a personalization document (2) under a print head (1), where the personalization document is fed with print modules of multi color e.g. cyan, magenta, yellow and black, inks. UV-hardenable inks are used as inks, and a primer unit (3.1) is applied on the personalization document. A drying process with UV-LEDs is executed after applying the inks. An inkjet module is moved together with drying modules (5.1, 5.2) over the personalization document. The UV LEDs are controlled in sections by an electronic control, so that the UV LEDs are illuminated. An independent claim is also included for a device for color printing of a personalization document with a print unit.
