<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a printing system from being occupied due to mass-printing by setting a limit to the number of printable sheets, and to rapidly process other printing jobs, and after processing the other printing jobs, to print the sheets exceeding the limit of the number of printable sheets without time consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The printing system is configured to connect a plurality of terminals with a printer for performing the printing jobs sent from the terminals via a network, and configured to control the printing jobs received from the terminals. The printer is configured to count the number of printed sheets related to the printing job, and when the number of printed sheets exceeds the upper limit number of printable sheets, performs job-resetting with respect to the printing job, and give to the first terminal, a command to retransmit the printing job by the amount of the unprinted portion together with information on the count. The first terminal receives the command to retransmit the printing job, which has been transmitted previously, then, generates the printing job by the amount of the unprinted portion from the already transmitted printing job based on the information on the count, and then, transmits the generated job to the printer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
