PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable composition of which producing and molding workability is improved by reducing viscosity thereof, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The curable composition having improved handleability is obtained by the method for producing the curable composition having: a first step of performing a reaction of a composition containing a polymer (A) having more than one alkenyl groups in one molecule, a compound (B) having at least two hydrosilyl groups in one molecule, wherein the total amount of the hydrosilyl groups is 0.3-0.7 equivalent weight relative to the total amount of the alkenyl groups in the component (A), and a hydrosilylating catalyst (C); and a second step of adding the compound (B) having at least two hydrosilyl groups in one molecule, wherein the total amount of the hydrosilyl groups is 0.3-3 equivalent weight relative to the total amount of the alkenyl groups in the component (A), to the composition obtained from the first step.
