PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To express a contour pattern from a delicate, clear and simple pattern up to a complicated pattern which can not be expressed by a method by engraving to a usual finishing mold, by applying an uneven parison molding and forming a contour line of a narrow concave at the outer surface of a bottle. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a glass bottle having a contour pattern includes a process for molding a parison having a convex part corresponding to a concave part at the outer surface by supplying a molten glass gob into a rough mold inside of the inner surface of a cavity of which a part corresponding to a region surrounded with a contour line of a contour pattern of a finished bottle is depressed and processed so as to become a concave part and the bottom face corner of the concave part is processed to become an angular form in cross section, a process for transferring the parison to a flat and smooth finishing mold, and a process for molding a finished bottle in which a part surrounded with grooves is expressed as a contour pattern by blow-molding the parison in the finishing mold and forming wrinkle-like grooves at a part corresponding to the edge of a convex part of the parison among outer surfaces of the finished bottle.
