PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiping blade and a wiping device configured to absorb a functional liquid wiped by the leading end of the blade, and then, efficiently discharge the absorbed functional liquid. SOLUTION: The wiping blade 2 for wiping the nozzle surface 6 of an inkjet type functional liquid ejection head 5 includes: a wiping part 7 performing rubbing on the leading end thereof; and an absorbing part 8 stuck to the front side of the wiping part 7 in the wiping direction so as to absorb the functional liquid which has been wiped by the wiping part 7.
