PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of generating a necessary and sufficient ply-steer residual cornering force only by an internal structure such as a belt layer without depending on a tread pattern. SOLUTION: A belt reinforcing layer 100A comprises a cap 110A, a layer 111A continuous to an end on the outer side when the cap 110A is fitted to a vehicle, and layer 210A continuous to an end on the tire equatorial line CL side of the cap 110A. The pneumatic tire of this type can generate the sufficient ply-steer residual cornering force attributable to a difference in a fold-back width by folding back a pair of layers by differentiating the folding-back direction of the pair of layers continuous to the cap and widths of the pair of folded-back layers from the width of the cap.
