The method involves arranging a set of pressure sensors (20) in a chair (10) for measuring pressure on a set of air pockets (30) in a supporting surface (11) of the chair and for transmitting respective pressure signals to an inflating and exhaust control unit (40), when the air pockets are loaded with pressure. The pressure signals are compared with reference pressure values, and amount of air in the air pockets is adjusted based on the comparison result, where comparison and adjustment steps are continuously performed until the pressure signals correspond to the reference pressure values. An independent claim is also included for a chair adjusting system.
