PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured attachment capable of simply and easily hooking a rope for lifting a load to be transported to the fork of a forklift and smoothly storing the rope to effectively hold the rope. SOLUTION: This attachment for a forklift includes an attachment body (12) attached to the fork, a cover member (14) which is fixed to the attachment body, extends upward so as to form a storage space for the rope between the attachment body and itself, and forms an opening opened in the horizontal direction, and a rotating member (16) which is attached to the attachment body rotatably in an L-shaped plane about an L-shaped corner having a blunt internal angle, opens and closes the opening of the cover member, and rotated so as to open the opening when the rope is absent.
