PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection head improving liquid ejection characteristics by suppressing the reduction of the displacement characteristics of a piezoelectric element and a vibration plate and the occurrence of the variation of the displacement amount of the piezoelectric element and the vibration plate and to provide a liquid ejection device. SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head includes: a flow path forming substrate 50 in which a flow path 52 communicating with a nozzle opening is formed; the vibration plate 55 provided on one surface side of the flow path forming substrate 50; and the piezoelectric element 11 adhered on the vibration plate 55 through an adhesive 63. In the vibration plate 55, an island part 59 as a thick part to which the piezoelectric element 11 is adhered is provided and a groove part 62 is provided in at least one of the adhesive surfaces of the island part 59 and the piezoelectric element 11.
