PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow access from only a specific user terminal 2 through the Internet 1, to improve security. SOLUTION: The device is composed of a microcomputer 11 with a memory 11a, an Internet interface 12, a protocol conversion module 13, and a serial communication module 14. The device starts the serial communication module 14 only when an identification code transmitted from a DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) server 3 matches an identification code in the memory 11a.
