PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector that has improved efficiency in cooling an object to be cooled. SOLUTION: In a projector, a cooling device for sending a current of cooling air W to an object to be cooled includes: a cooling fan for taking in the cooling air W; and a duct 8 having first and second passages 8A1 and 8A2 and 8B1 for circulating the cooling air W, discharged from the cooling fan, in a first direction, and then circulating the cooling air W in a second direction intersecting the first direction, thereby guiding the cooling air W to the position where an object to be cooled is disposed. A plurality of guide members 9 to 11 for guiding cooling air W are disposed in the duct 8. The guide members 9 to 11 are formed across the position where the first and second directions intersect.
