PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding umbrella mounting device with an expandable/contractible backrest, which enables a user to safely ride a bicycle with both hands without performing one-hand riding with an umbrella or a parasol, and has a backrest so as to be used as the backrest when stored. SOLUTION: Metallic fixtures 2 are arranged in the front part of a bicycle rack 1. A pillar 3 with the backrest is arranged with the metallic fixtures 2. Stoppers and adjustment screws 4 are arranged in the lower front parts of the pillar, and a plate 5 with a spring is arranged between the stoppers and the adjustment screws 4. An expandable/contractible four-stage pole 6 is provided at the pillar 3 with the backrest. Umbrella fixing metal fixtures 7 are arranged at a position a little lower than the end of the expandable/contractible four-stage pole. Umbrella fixing metal fixtures 8 are arranged on the upper part of the umbrella fixing metallic fixtures 7.
