PURPOSE: A composition for producing a cyclopentadiene derivative, and a producing method of the cyclopentadiene derivative are provided to economically produce the high purity cyclopentadiene derivative. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of the cyclopentadiene derivative comprises the following steps: forming a first solvent containing a compound marked with chemical formula 1, and a compound marked with chemical formula 2: MX2; forming a second solvent including NaBH4; and reacting the first and second solvents, by dropping the first solvent to the second solvent.
