A crate (10), such as for transporting egg cartons or other items, includes a base (12), opposed side walls (14) and a rear wall (16) extending upward from the base (12). A front wall (18) opposite the rear wall (16) is selectably moveable between a closed position and a retracted, open position. In the retracted position, access to the interior of the crate is provided. In one embodiment, the front wall (18) includes a plurality of pivotably connected sections (20,22,24), such that the front wall (18) can be retracted to provide access to the interior. |
