<p>The method involves enabling interaction of a set of control units (C1-C8) with a set of sensors and actuators of automation modules e.g. tools (2, 4, 8) and conveyor belts (1, 3, 5-7) of an automation system for industrial process-and/or manufacturing automation. A control application is executed by the control units for controlling the automation system. A set of applications (AP1-AP3) of the control application is executed based on a distributed computing process i.e. grid computing process, where the applications are distributed to the control units during computing process. An independent claim is also included for an automation system for industrial process- and/or manufacturing automation, comprising a set of control units interacting with sensors and actuators.</p> |
