PURPOSE: A hybrid electric propulsion system for a small fishing boat is provided to reduce fuel using generator power when propulsion velocity is high and using battery power when propulsion velocity is low. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid electric propulsion system for a small fishing boat comprises a battery(200), a three-phase generator(400), a hybrid power controller(300), a propulsion velocity determining unit, a controller(110), and a three-phase induction motor(500). The three-phase generator supplies three phase power source. The hybrid power controller provides three phase generator power when propulsion velocity is high and provides battery power when propulsion velocity is low. The propulsion velocity determining unit determines the propulsion velocity of the small fishing boat. The controller controls an inverter and a breaker of the hybrid power controller. |
