a -Aminobutyric acid, a -hydroxybutyric acid, a -amino-g -hydroxybutyric acid or a -oxobutyric acid is incorporated in a vegetable feeding stuff as a growth promotant. In examples the weight increases of white leghorn chicks fed with feedstuffs supplemented by 0,14 per cent of one of the above-stated compounds and with 0,5 per cent lysine are compared. |
