Blocking system for large sections of piping with a swinging flap

The system has a flap housing (1) including pipe connections. A pivot flap (2) is pivoted back and forth between two end positions. A drive device has a drive shaft (3) that is connected to the pivot flap by a toggle lever system (4), constructed in a form of a lattice tower and transversely extended in one of the end positions of the pivot flap over the pipe cross-section, where the gas flowing through the pipe connection flows through the drive shaft. The lever system has toggle levers (4a, 4b). Shaft journals (8, 9) are retained at ends of the drive shaft.
