The method involves providing a hydraulically biased shrink-disk with an inner ring and an external ring (6) connected together. A pre-stressing process is carried out by circular segment-shaped clamping elements (10) that are attached to the shrink-disk. The clamping elements are separated from each other and fixed by screwing free regions of the clamping elements with each other before removing the clamping elements. An independent claim is also included for a system for mounting a mechanical shrink disk on a shaft, comprising an inner ring.
