PURPOSE: A device of generating oxygen/hydrogen gas using a carbon electrode plate, which can prevent the dissolving of the surface of an electrode plate during an electrolysis process, is provided to prevent the generation of high-temperature heat and to prevent that an electrode plate is getting thinner when oxygen and hydrogen gas is generated by electrolysis. CONSTITUTION: A device of generating oxygen/hydrogen gas using a carbon electrode plate comprises an electrolytic cell, a carbon electrode plate(4), an electrolytic cell cover(2), a water level sensor(7), a gas safe valve(8), a supplementary water supply pipe(9), a gas discharging pipe(11) and an electrolyzed water overflow preventing valve(10). The electrolytic cell comprises a gas generating bath, an electrolyzed water flow path(5) and a supplementary water supply tub.
