Method and system for the determination of the velocity of at least one target by meteorological radar

The method involves receiving a signal produced from reflection on a meteorological target, pulses emitted by a meteorological radar (1) based on a transmission mode of the radar such that time interval between the pulses is modified at each pulse and occupies distinct autocorrelation values. A spectrum of autocorrelation function of the received signal is determined by exploiting the autocorrelation values. A speed of the target is determined based on the determined spectrum. An independent claim is also included for a module for determination of speed of a target.
