Differential pressure sensor

The sensor has a differential pressure sensor element (10) comprising a housing (11) that is designed as a ring housing. A membrane (12) is loaded with pressure on a side and loaded with another pressure on another side that is turned away from the former side. The membrane is coupled with another membrane (36) by a connection element (13), and a measuring element detects deflection of the latter membrane, where the sensor element is made from rust-proof steel or stainless steel alloy. A balancing membrane (14) projects from an inner wall (20) of the housing. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring a filter for filtering pressure-loaded medium.
