MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR JOURNAL CROSS

PURPOSE: A journal cross manufacturing method is provided to improve work efficiency and reduce material costs by employing warm closed-die forging. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a journal cross, which is in a cross shape and has a power transmission function, using warm closed-die forging comprises a pre-molding step and a completion step. In the pre-molding step, a material is formed into a cross-shaped semi-product(20). In the completion step, the semi-product is completed through closed-die forging. The semi-product includes a body(22) with a circular hole(26) in the center, and a plurality of protrusions(24) projected on the exterior of the body.
