<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump type liquid jet container having a cap in which a depressing head having a nozzle is fitted from the upper part of the container to the upper part of the rising pump type liquid jet container and only the upper surface covering the nozzle and the depressing head can be opened or closed even if the entire head is not engaged with or removed from the container. <P>SOLUTION: A nozzle 3 is protruded outward from a longitudinal groove 13 longitudinally arranged at a front upper part of a cylinder. There is provided a major cylinder 12 where a depressing head 4 is enclosed by a cylinder top part with its upper end surface being released to open. An operating plate 21 covering both the depressing head and nozzle is arranged through a first fixed hinge 24 over both sides of the upper end front portion of the major cylinder. A nozzle covering portion 23 is supported by a connecting plate 26 protruded forward from both right and left sides of the longitudinal groove 13. The connecting plate is provided with a second fixed hinge 27. A portion of the operating plate between the first and second fixed hinges is provided with a moving hinge 25 while a linear line distance between the two fixed hinges is shorter than a distance between the first and second fixed hinges passing by the moving hinge.
