<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of presuming the initial magnetic pole position at high speed in a stoppage state of a motor, even if electric parameters cannot be obtained accurately, and furthermore, even if the output voltage accuracy of a driver is poor. <P>SOLUTION: A γ-axis and a δ-axis in the advancing direction at the electrical angle of 90° from the γ-axis are set arbitrarily on a spactial coordinate system. The current control system of each axial direction is structured in a closed loop. An interference current iδ is observed that is generated in the δ-axial direction, when a current command in the γ-axial direction is given as a stepped alternating current command iγRef. When the code of the product of the integrated value of the interference current and the γ-axis current command value is positive, the γ-axis is advanced by a fine angle Δθ. If the code is negative, the γ-axis is delayed by the fine angle Δθ. By doing so, the γ-axis is matched to a true magnetic axis, a d-axis or a -d-axis advancing from the true magnetic axis, so that the initial magnetic pole of the permanent magnet brushless motor is presumed. A function is provided of determining whether the result of the presumption is a success or a failure and of repeating the initial magnetic pole presuming operations, until the presumption succeeds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
