The present invention describes a press device for the manufacture of blocks resulting from recycled cardboard and paper, also referring to a process for the manufacture thereof. Said device includes: a cube-shaped structure, a rotating steering wheel located on the upper surface of the device, which is intended to rotate a worm attached to a press platform, this latter pressing the paper and cardboard located inside de cube upon actuating the worm; also includes two abatable lateral surfaces which are opened to facilitate the insertion of recycled paper and the exit of the resulting compressed block; assembling devices located in the edge of the abatable surfaces, a rod for fastening the abatable doors and an inlet orifice of the fastening rod.
