PURPOSE: A torch handle for a manual welding torch, including a torch safety device for preventing unnecessary operation of the torch, is provided to prevent the feed of welding wire and the emission of protective gas when the torch is not in operation. CONSTITUTION: A torch handle for a manual welding torch comprises a housing, a trigger switch(108), a limit switch(110), a changeover switch(124), a compression ring(114), and a deformed bar(116). The housing accepts a part of a welding cable(18) and a torch head. The trigger switch is pivoted on a part of the housing. The limit switch is operated with the trigger switch. The changeover switch is connected to the limit switch. The compression ring compresses a gas pipe extended inisde the welding cable. The deformed bar connects the welding cable to a torch body(12).
