PURPOSE: A water power generating device is provided so that a rectangular water path is formed on the lower part of a ship, a turbine is mounted on the center of the water path and the mechanical energy by the rotation of the turbine is transferred to a generator to produce electricity. CONSTITUTION: A water power generating device comprises a ship(10), a water path(20), a turbine(30), gear assembly(40) and a generator(50). The water path is installed on the lower part of the ship. The turbine is horizontally mounted on the inner center of the water path and rotates by the water. The gear assembly transfers the torque of the turbine to the generator. The generator converts the mechanical energy, which is received from the gear assembly, to electric energy to obtain electricity. |
