PURPOSE: A medium for culturing plant cells containing specific TCA cycle intermediate and sugar alcohol and a method for producing a large amount of recombinant protein using the same are provided to suppress apoptosis of cells. CONSTITUTION: A medium composition for producing a recombinant protein of transformed plant obtained using an expression vector containing a promoter and gene encoding target proteins contains succinic acid, TCA cycle intermediate of fumaric acid or malic acid and sugar-alochol of sorbitol or mannitol. The recombinant protein is human CTLA 4lg. The plant cells are rice plant cells. The promoter is alpha-amylase RAmy3D promoter.
