PURPOSE: A speed control device for a single phase ac motor of a refrigerant cycle compressor is provided to efficiently use the heat from a waste water which is generated in supplying hot and cold water to a water purifier and a vending machine. CONSTITUTION: A speed control device for a single phase ac motor of a refrigerant cycle compressor receives a first temperature signal and a second temperature signal from the tube of an evaporator. A control device compares the first temperature signal with the second temperature signal and controls the speed of a motor driving a compressor according to the state of refrigerant. The control device senses a third temperature sensor and calculates discharge pressure of the compressor to control the rotation of the motor.
