The system has a fuel cell block (12), and pressure tanks (16, 18) for fuel and/or oxidizer and coupled to the fuel cell block. Pressure reducing devices (22, 34) are assigned to the pressure tanks. The pressure reducing devices have valve arrays (24, 36) that include a number of normally closed (NC)-control valves (26, 38), which are controlled individually and electrically and are utilized as microvalves. The control valves have a cycle time, which is less than 50 milliseconds. The entire nominal width of the pressure reducing devices is the sum of nominal widths of all open control valves. An independent claim is also included for a method for supplying a fuel and/or oxidizer in a fuel cell block. |
