The actuator (10) has a drive arranged in a drive housing (12) and attached to a damper (1). An electric motor is attached to a recess that is formed in the drive. The drive is arranged outside of the recess when the electric motor is attached to the recess. The electric motor is provided with a motor housing (11). The motor housing and the drive housing extend in a measurement axis, which corresponds to a pivoting axis. The damper is pivoted around the pivoting axis when the motor is attached to the recess.
