PURPOSE: A detergent box for a washing machine is provided to prevent the detergent waste and to enhance the washing performance since a user can accurately recognize the amount of detergent, which is put into the detergent box. CONSTITUTION: A detergent box(200) for a washing machine(10) comprises a cabinet(100) and a detergent box. The cabinet forms a frame. The detergent box is installed in the cabinet to be protruded to outside. The detergent box has a transparent appearance so that the amount of the detergent can be checked. The detergent box comprises a front panel(210) and a detergent holding unit. A handle is formed on the front of the detergent box to enable a user to grip with a hand. The detergent holding unit comprises a partition wall, which divides a storage space, into which the detergent is put and held.
