<p>The racket (1) has a monoblock structured composite piece (4) forming a blade (5), and including a core made of end grain wood i.e. wood whose fibers are arranged perpendicular to a plane of the blade. Outer covering layers cover main faces of the core. One of the layers is made of composite material formed of carbon fibers impregnated with curable synthetic resin i.e. epoxy resin, or aramid fibers such as Kevlar(RTM: light, strong para-aramid synthetic fiber). The other layer is formed of wood veneer. A handle (3) is integrally formed by a monoblock structured composite piece (2). The carbon fibers are chosen from woven fibers such as taffeta, twill weave or satin, or non-woven fibers.</p> |
