<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of connecting a suction fan on the side of a printer body with a suction platen on the side of an open/close cover via a short suction channel. <P>SOLUTION: A platen 8 is moved with opening and closing of the open/close cover 3a on a rolled paper storage part 7. The platen 8 is the suction platen. On the side of the platen 8, a suction part including a suction section 32, a suction hole 33 and a platen-side air channel 36 is provided, and on the side of the printer body 2, the suction fan 34 and a suction duct 35 which connects this suction fan 34 and the suction part of the platen 8 are provided. Since the suction duct 35 is separated from the suction part of the platen 8 when the platen 8 is moved together with the open/close cover 3a, the suction duct 35 may have a short length corresponding to the distance between the suction port of the suction fan 34 in the case in which the open/close cover 3a is closed and the suction part of the platen 8. Thus, since a suction flow channel can be shortened, a flow channel loss of suction air can be reduced and large suction fan 34 can be avoided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
