<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser drive device that adjusts timing for sample-holding a front monitor signal without causing a failure during recording of user data. <P>SOLUTION: The laser drive device 100 drives an irradiation means 230 which records data based on a recording data signal by irradiating an information recording medium 400 with a laser beam. The laser drive device 100 includes: detecting means 232, 150 detecting laser power of the laser beam and outputting a detected signal, a sample pulse generating means 101 generating a sample pulse based on a recording data signal, sample hold means 160 a, b sample-holding a detected signal in accordance with the sample hold pulse, an adjusting means 110 adjusting the timing of sample-holding the detected signal periodically or temporarily, and a control means 100 controlling laser power of the laser beam based on the sample signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
