ROADSIDE COMMUNICATION DEVICE, AND ROAD-TO-VEHICLE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roadside communication device and road-to-vehicle communication system, capable of improving reliability of road-to-vehicle communication regardless of presence of an obstructive factor.

SOLUTION: An optical beacon 20 includes: a floodlight unit 21 for transmitting a transmission signal to an on-vehicle communication device 10; an obstruction information acquisition unit 23a for acquiring obstruction information related to an obstructive factor of transmission of the transmission signal; and a transmission control unit 23b for controlling a transmission form of the transmission signal by the floodlight unit 21 based on the obstruction information acquired by the obstruction information acquisition unit 23a.
