<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a light guide plate which responds to optical characteristics suitable for any shape and configuration even for a large-size light guide plate and of which cycle time is shortened. <P>SOLUTION: This is a method for manufacturing a light guide plate in which light is made to enter from a side face of a light guide plate substrate and is led out from its main face. A processing dot is arranged in matrix shape on the rectangular tip face of an ultrasonic machining horn 20, and the tip face of the ultrasonic machining horn is pressed on one main surface of the light guide plate substrate to form a reflecting dot reflecting the processing dot of the tip face on the one main face of the light guide plate substrate, the ultrasonic machining horn is relatively moved on the surface of the main face to the light guide plate substrate and formation of the reflecting dots is repeated, the reflecting dots are formed in a prescribed range of the one main face of the light guide plate substrate, and the reflecting dots are formed respectively on both opposed main faces of the light guide plate substrate so that the reflecting dots may not identically face each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
