<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NOx purification catalyst having a higher NOx purification rate than before. <P>SOLUTION: The NOx purification catalyst is provided in the exhaust path of an internal combustion engine, captures NOx in an oxidative atmosphere, and also reduces and purifies the captured NOx in a reducing atmosphere. By the NOx purification catalyst including a lower layer which contains an NOx capturing agent and an upper layer which is formed on the lower layer, contains Rh and does not contain the NOx capturing agent, the reduction and purification rate of NOx is improved and a higher NOx purification rate than before is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
