PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphere-rotation measuring device estimating a rotation speed and rotation direction of a sphere flying with rotation without being influenced by acceleration caused by centrifugal force with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: When a ball 1 is thrown, acceleration signals of three axes, detected by a triaxial acceleration sensor 3 formed at the center of gravity of the ball 1, are radio-transmitted. A signal-processing device 8 performs A/D conversion of the acceleration signals received to provide acceleration data, and in an arithmetic processing section 9, triaxial acceleration data of the flying ball 1 is extracted from the resulting acceleration signals. An estimated rotation speed of the ball 1 estimated from a frequency peak value of the triaxial acceleration signals obtained by frequency-analysis processing is calculated. A position of a rotation axis is estimated from a coordinate of the triaxial acceleration signals extracted, and the position is displayed on a display 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
