PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device capable of preventing contact of a rotor inside a turbine and improving the reliability of the turbine by preventing yield of the contact point between the inner ring of a bearing and a spherical seat, and the excessive axial movement of a bearing body even when a great thrust force occurs in the bearing. SOLUTION: At the edge of the inner spherical surface of the spherical seat 13, an axial movement limiting means limiting the axial movement of the bearing body is arranged. For example, with respect to the inner spherical surface, a spherical surface partially having two diameters is formed. The central part of the spherical seat 13 is formed by the diameter with a radius Ro. Only at the edge of the inner spherical surface, an edge spherical surface 16 with a radius Ri equal to the radius Ri of an inner ring spherical surface 11 is arranged, and this edge spherical surface 16 is made as the axial movement limiting means. Herein, the relation of the radius Ro larger than the radius Ri is satisfied. When the bearing body 10 is moved excessively by the thrust force, the inner ring spherical surface 11 is contacted with the edge spherical surface 16. Thus, the inner ring spherical surface 11 and the spherical seat 13 are contacted not through point contact but through surface contact. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
