PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently manufacturing an addendum by optimizing the surface of the addendum for forming a tool. SOLUTION: In the manufacture of the addendum 4 of the tool for sheet metal formed parts 2, a fill surface is created to smoothen the irregular zone in the edge 3 of a component. The initial direction of a sectional profile 10 is decided so that the sectional profile 10 with a distance from each other are arranged along the component 3 by using the initial direction of them and the addendum 4 is manufactured by the connection of the sectional profile 10.
