DISCHARGE LAMP, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp improved in starting characteristic, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The discharge lamp can promote insulation breakdown in a discharge space to reduce a voltage necessary for starting by forming a conductive film 10 in a groove-like part 20 provided on the outer surface of an inner tube 1. The groove-like part 20 and the conductive film 10 can be formed on a sealing portion 12 on high-potential side of the inner tube 1.
