<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of improving the transmission speed of data by preventing distortion and reduction of data in transmitting/receiving digital data through a voice channel of a radio communication network. <P>SOLUTION: This digital data communications system for transmitting a voice signal or digital data between a terminal portion 426 mounted on a vehicle and an external server 427, in each of the terminal portion 426 and the external server 427, includes: a CDOV modem 402 configured to modulate the digital data to include frequency characteristics of vowel and consonant of the voice; and a transmission/reception module 412 configured to transmit/receive the modulated signal through a voice channel. The terminal portion 426 further includes: a telematics terminal 401 having the CDOV modem 402; and a cell-phone 411 having the transmission/reception module.
