<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cleaning failure of a cleaning means for removing toner on a photoreceptor drum and an intermediate transfer belt, and to prevent color shift during color image formation. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus having a drum cleaning blade 15a or belt cleaning blade 19, the surface of the photoreceptor drum 11a or intermediate transfer belt 10 is polished so that the direction of polishing the drum 11a or belt 10 faces downstream in the direction of rotation. Additionally, in an image forming apparatus having image adjustment detecting means 221 and 222 for optically detecting the position of a toner image, the surface of the intermediate transfer belt 10 is polished so that the direction of polishing the belt 10 faces downstream in the direction of the rotation of the intermediate transfer belt 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
