PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film of high quality which can be easily formed even when a luminaire is located in a high place. SOLUTION: A film forming method includes: steps of heating a film forming surface of a facing material of the luminaire; bringing a film source 202 composed of a thermoplastic material into the film forming surface (1) while heating the film forming surface; and curing the thermoplastic material on the film forming surface to form a film. According to this structure, since a component of the film source composed of the thermoplastic material is adhered to a translucent member by bringing the film source into contact with the film forming surface, the film can be applied by use of, for example, the heat by lighting of the luminaire, and even when the luminaire is located in a high place, the operation can be easily performed only by contacting the film source provided at a tip of a bar thereto.
